Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Specs, Price, and Release Date: Everything We Know |
Two years after unveiling its first electric performance car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Hyundai is back with a bold new statement: the Ioniq 6 N. Launched as EV sales momentum slows in key markets, the 6 N proves that electrification doesn’t mean sacrificing excitement. Instead, it packs 641 horsepower, track-ready dynamics, and head-turning tech into a sleek, practical sedan all expected to come at a price that won’t break the bank.
The Ioniq 6 N is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 601 horsepower and 546 lb-ft of torque. But when you need maximum attack mode, N Grin Boost kicks in increasing output to 641 hp and 568 lb-ft for 10 seconds, matching the power of the Ioniq 5 N.

With N Launch Control, the 6 N rockets from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.2 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h) making it one of the quickest electric sedans on the road.
Hyundai didn’t just add power it re-engineered the car for performance:
- Redesigned suspension geometry
- Reinforced chassis for sharper handling
- Stroke-sensing electronically controlled dampers using sensors to adjust damping force in real time based on road conditions
Additional driving aids include:
- N Drift Optimizer – enables controlled rear-wheel slides
- N Torque Distribution – fine-tunes power delivery between axles for agility and fun
It’s a setup built not just for speed, but for driver engagement.
Stopping power comes from:
- Four-piston front calipers with 15.7-inch discs
- Single-piston rear calipers with 14.1-inch discs

Visually, it stands out with:
- A distinctive swan-neck rear wing for added downforce
- Wider fenders to accommodate its aggressive stance
- Sharper body lines and N-specific badging
Hyundai enhances the driving experience with two signature N technologies:
- N e-Shift: An upgraded simulated gear-shifting system that reduces performance lag and improves shift feel
- N Ambient Shift Light: Interior ambient lighting that pulses in sync with each “gear” change
And for sound, N Active Sound+ offers three unique drive modes:
- Ignition: Motorsport-inspired engine roar
- Evolution: Retro-futuristic EV tones with heritage flair
- Lightspeed: Sci-fi-inspired synthetic audio
It’s an auditory experience designed to make electric driving feel more visceral.

Hyundai hasn’t yet revealed pricing or on-sale dates for the Ioniq 6 N. However, clues point to a competitive price tag:
- The 2025 Ioniq 5 N starts at $67,800 (including destination)
- The standard Ioniq 6 is about $5,000 cheaper than the base Ioniq 5
