Two years after unveiling its first electric performance car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Hyundai is back with a bold new statement: the Ioniq 6 N. Launched as EV sales momentum slows in key markets, the 6 N proves that electrification doesn’t mean sacrificing excitement. Instead, it packs 641 horsepower, track-ready dynamics, and head-turning tech into a sleek, practical sedan all expected to come at a price that won’t break the bank.

The Ioniq 6 N is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 601 horsepower and 546 lb-ft of torque. But when you need maximum attack mode, N Grin Boost kicks in increasing output to 641 hp and 568 lb-ft for 10 seconds, matching the power of the Ioniq 5 N.

With N Launch Control, the 6 N rockets from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.2 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h) making it one of the quickest electric sedans on the road.

Hyundai didn’t just add power it re-engineered the car for performance:

  • Redesigned suspension geometry
  • Reinforced chassis for sharper handling
  • Stroke-sensing electronically controlled dampers using sensors to adjust damping force in real time based on road conditions

Additional driving aids include:

  • N Drift Optimizer – enables controlled rear-wheel slides
  • N Torque Distribution – fine-tunes power delivery between axles for agility and fun

  • Four-piston front calipers with 15.7-inch discs
  • Single-piston rear calipers with 14.1-inch discs

The 6 N rolls on 20-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in specially developed Pirelli P Zero 5 tires (275/35R20), engineered specifically for this model.

Visually, it stands out with:

  • A distinctive swan-neck rear wing for added downforce
  • Wider fenders to accommodate its aggressive stance

Hyundai enhances the driving experience with two signature N technologies:

Based on the WLTP test cycle, the Ioniq 6 N delivers up to 291 miles (468 km) of range from its 84.0-kWh battery pack. Real-world U.S. EPA estimates will likely be lower for reference, the Ioniq 5 N with the same battery is rated at 221 miles.

Still, the combination of strong performance and usable range makes the 6 N a compelling grand tourer with serious track potential.

  • The standard Ioniq 6 is about $5,000 cheaper than the base Ioniq 5

That suggests the Ioniq 6 N could start in the low $60,000s, positioning it as one of the most value-packed high-performance EVs on the market.
