We first saw the all-new 2026 Hyundai Palisade back in December and it's grown significantly over its predecessor. The redesigned three-row SUV is now 2.5 inches longer overall, with a wheelbase stretched by 2.7 inches , offering more interior space and a more commanding presence on the road. It’s set to launch later this year in the U.S., featuring a bold new design and two updated powertrain options.

The standard engine for the 2026 Palisade is a 3.5-liter V6 producing 287 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque , paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission . While slightly down from the previous 3.8-liter engine (which delivered 291 hp and 262 lb-ft), this new V6 remains a strong performer. Buyers can choose between front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive , with a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds.

For improved efficiency and performance, Hyundai is introducing a new hybrid powertrain for the Palisade. It combines a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with dual electric motors integrated into a six-speed automatic . Together, they deliver a combined 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai estimates that the hybrid variant will return at least 30 mpg on the highway, with a towing capacity of 4,000 lbs  making it a versatile option for eco-conscious families.

Inside, the 2026 Hyundai Palisade debuts a completely refreshed cabin. It features a modern layout with dual 12.3-inch digital displays embedded in the dashboard, along with physical buttons below for easy access. Tech highlights include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 15-watt wireless charging pad equipped with a cooling fan to prevent overheating during fast charging an innovative touch we’d love to see become industry standard.

Hyundai plans a staggered release for the new model. Gas-powered versions are expected to reach dealerships this summer, while the hybrid variant will follow in fall 2025. A wide selection of 10 exterior colors will be available, along with multiple interior trim choices including cloth, leatherette, full leather, and premium Nappa leather .

Adding even more appeal, the 2026 Palisade introduces Hyundai’s new XRT Pro trim, designed with enhanced off-road components for drivers seeking light trail capability and rugged style.

Pricing details haven’t been announced yet, but the current 2025 Palisade starts at $38,675, and the 2026 model should see only a modest increase to stay competitive in the crowded three-row SUV segment.
