2026 Ferrari Amalfi Specs, Price, and Release Date: Everything We Know |
As promised, Ferrari unveiled its latest grand tourer on Tuesday the 2026 Ferrari Amalfi, a front-engine, four-seat coupe designed to succeed the beloved Roma. While it carries over much of the Roma’s elegant silhouette, the Amalfi brings meaningful upgrades in performance, technology, and driver-focused design including a major win for purists: real physical buttons on the steering wheel.
At first glance, the Amalfi is unmistakably related to the Roma. It shares the same sleek proportions, sculpted hood, sharply pointed nose, and exaggerated rear haunches that define Ferrari’s modern GT aesthetic.
But subtle changes bring it in line with the brand’s latest design language:
- A new "sharknose" front fascia, echoing the SF90 Stradale and 12Cilindri, with a black center bar connecting slim LED headlights
- A more refined front bumper with improved airflow
- Rear taillights remain as four distinct pods, now linked by a black trim piece between the inner units
The result is a car that’s both familiar and fresh a true evolution of the Roma’s timeless design.
The biggest leap forward is inside. Ferrari has listened to customer feedback and replaced the Roma’s frustrating capacitive touch controls with physical buttons on the steering wheel a long-overdue upgrade.
Even better? The capacitive start button is gone, replaced by a titanium-mounted mechanical button on the left spoke a small but significant nod to driver engagement and tactile feedback.

Beyond the controls, the cabin features a heavily refreshed layout, with improved materials, ergonomics, and tech integration, while maintaining the Roma’s luxurious four-seat grand touring ethos.
Under the hood, the Amalfi retains Ferrari’s proven 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-8, but now tuned to deliver 631 horsepower 19 hp more than the Roma’s 612 hp. Torque remains at 561 lb-ft.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling a 0–62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in just 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 198 mph (320 km/h).
Ferrari credits the power bump to several internal upgrades:
- Lighter camshafts
- Precision-machined engine block
- Lower-viscosity oil
- Revised turbocharger calibration
The result is a more responsive, refined, and powerful engine perfectly suited to the Amalfi’s grand tourer role.
The Amalfi isn’t just about beauty and power it’s packed with cutting-edge tech:
- Brake-by-wire system, borrowed from the 296 GTB and 12Cilindri, for more precise pedal feel and integration with stability systems
- Active rear spoiler that deploys at speed, generating up to 242 pounds of downforce at 155 mph, with less than 4% increase in drag
- Side Slip Control 6.1 (SSC 6.1) Ferrari’s intelligent stability platform that monitors steering, suspension, yaw, and grip to optimize performance in real time
It also includes a full suite of ADAS features for safety and comfort:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane departure warning and lane keep assist
- Automatic emergency braking
- Front and rear parking sensors
A rare sight in a Ferrari but a welcome one for daily drivers.
Ferrari hasn’t confirmed official pricing or delivery timelines, but we expect the Amalfi to begin production before the end of 2025, with first deliveries in early 2026.
With the Roma coupe ending production in 2024 at $247,308, and considering inflation, tariffs, and added tech, the Amalfi is expected to start near $300,000.

And for fans of open-top motoring? A convertible version is almost certain. Ferrari filed the "Amalfi Spider" trademark last year a strong hint that the drop-top version is on the way.
The 2026 Ferrari Amalfi isn’t a radical reinvention it’s a refinement of everything that made the Roma great. With more power, smarter tech, and finally, real buttons, it strikes the perfect balance between luxury, performance, and driver engagement.
