Toyota’s popular entry-level crossover, the Corolla Cross, is receiving a series of updates for the 2026 model year, including a refreshed exterior design, enhanced interior tech, and new color and trim options.

For 2026, Toyota has introduced a redesigned front fascia that helps distinguish between the gasoline-powered and hybrid versions of the Corolla Cross. The Corolla Cross Hybrid now features a color-matched grille, a design element first previewed in 2024. In contrast, the standard gas model receives a more rugged front bumper with larger air intakes and a bold horizontal bar that prominently displays the Toyota badge.

Despite the visual updates, Toyota has not made any changes to the powertrains for either variant. The hybrid model continues to offer the most power in the lineup, producing 196 horsepower from a combination of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and three electric motors. The gas-only Corolla Cross remains equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 169 horsepower, mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

Inside, the 2026 Corolla Cross debuts a larger 10.5-inch infotainment display, now positioned above a redesigned center console. The instrument cluster is available in two sizes 7.0 inches or 12.3 inches, depending on the trim level.

Toyota has also improved the layout of controls and ports, relocating buttons, separating the gear shifter from the cupholders, and removing some vertical trim pieces for a cleaner, more functional design. These interior refinements, while subtle, significantly enhance usability and aesthetics.

For the 2026 model year, the gasoline-powered Corolla Cross will be offered in three trims : L, LE, and XLE. The hybrid version will be available in S, SE, and XSE trim levels.

A new Cavalry Blue exterior color joins the palette for 2026, available on the LE, XLE, SE, and XSE trims. Hybrid models can also be ordered with a two-tone Jet Black roof option. Additionally, Toyota is introducing two new 18-inch wheel designs for select trims.

Toyota has not yet announced pricing for the 2026 Corolla Cross. The current 2025 model starts at $25,485 (including $1,350 destination fee) for the gas-powered L trim, while the hybrid S trim begins at $29,845.
