The 2024 Toyota Crown is expected to debut this month, and we're expecting big things from the mid-size SUV's first year. We expect the crown to go down in luxury as one of the crown jewels of the Toyota lineup. We don't know much about this new SUV, but we do have information to add.

The 2024 Toyota Crown SUV is expected to be the ultimate luxury SUV that takes inspiration from the Crown sedan. We know that the midsize SUV will come standard with all-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain, but no details have been shown beyond that.

The current Toyota Crown sedan has a luxurious interior and comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, navigation system, wireless charger, five USB ports, six speakers, satellite radio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. We hope that these same features and others in the new 2024 Toyota Crown SUV.

We don't know exactly which engine and electric motor combination will make the 2024 Toyota Crown SUV, but we are betting on a similar base to the 2024 Toyota Crown sedan that offers a choice of two engines, 2.5L. The 4-cylinder hybrid engine develops 236 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque, or the 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid develops 340 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. We expect these or similar engines to power the Crown SUV.

The current 2024 Toyota Crown sedan comes fully equipped with lane-keeping assist, lane-departure recognition, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring and forward-reverse assist. road reverse and emergency braking. Top trims have front and rear parking sensors and can have additional features like a surround camera, lane change assist, lane assist, and lane departure warning for a price. Other features are standard on the Platinum model. We expect to see these same features in the 2024 Toyota Crown SUV.

We haven't heard any pricing information from Toyota yet, but we expect the Crown SUV to start at a higher price point than the current Toyota Crown sedan, which starts at an MSRP of $41,145 and has somewhere to go. Being an SUV with more power than space, we expect the Toyota Crown SUV to start no lower than $42,000.
