While parent company Nissan faces financial challenges, Infiniti is pressing forward with its luxury lineup. Leading the charge is the 2026 Infiniti QX60, which receives a mid-cycle refresh headlined by a new Sport trim and a series of aesthetic and tech enhancements though the update is more evolutionary than revolutionary.

Despite the brand’s tight budget, the 2026 model year brings notable changes, starting with the addition of the QX60 Sport, a trim focused primarily on cosmetic upgrades rather than mechanical overhaul.

The Sport trim does not bring back the naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 that powered pre-2025 models. Instead, Infiniti continues with the turbocharged 2.0L variable-compression four-cylinder engine, producing 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque. While down 27 hp from the old V6, it gains 16 lb-ft of torque.

Power is routed through a nine-speed automatic transmission. The QX60 Sport comes standard with all-wheel drive, while lower trims retain the option of front-wheel drive.

To differentiate the Sport, Infiniti adds a more aggressive front grille, black exterior accents, unique 20-inch alloy wheels, and a discreet “S” badge on the tailgate. Notably, the Infiniti badge below the rear wiper has been removed not just on the Sport, but also on the top-tier Autograph trim, which now features a redesigned grille.

Styling updates across the range draw inspiration from the larger QX80, Infiniti’s flagship SUV. Changes include:

  • An illuminated front badge
  • Additional LED segments in the DRLs
  • Repositioned red reflectors lower on the rear bumper
  • A body-colored upper rear bumper
  • Redesigned side skirts

Even the base Pure trim now comes standard with 20-inch wheels, replacing the previous 18-inch set. The Luxe and Autograph trims feature newly designed 20-inch alloys. A new exterior color, Deep Emerald, joins the palette.

The Sport and Autograph trims offer a two-tone roof option, with a blacked-out upper body for a more premium, coupe-like profile.

Inside, changes are modest. A new Stone Gray upholstery option is now available. The Sport trim features Dusk Blue leather seats, a black headliner, and black open-pore ash wood trim with metal inlays shared with the Autograph. Lower trims use a silver metallic weave finish.

Notably, Infiniti does not mention the Sensory trim for 2026, suggesting it may be discontinued.

Tech improvements include:

  • ProPILOT Assist 2.1 (optional on Autograph): Enables hands-free driving on mapped highways with adaptive cruise, lane centering, and automated lane changes.
  • Standard surround-view camera system on Luxe trim and above
  • 16-speaker Klipsch audio system included on Luxe and Sport
  • 20-speaker upgrade available on the Autograph

A standout feature on the Autograph is the light curtain, which projects the Infiniti logo and geometric patterns onto the ground when the vehicle is unlocked adding a touch of luxury flair.

The 2026 QX60 arrives at dealerships this summer. The Sport and Autograph trims come standard with second-row captain’s chairs, reducing capacity to six. Other trims retain the 7-passenger configuration with a bench seat.

Pricing has not yet been announced, but the 2025 QX60 starts at $50,200 (Pure FWD) and reaches $66,150 (Autograph) before options a likely benchmark for 2026.

For buyers seeking a more stylish alternative, Infiniti plans to launch the QX65, a sleeker, coupe-style SUV based on the QX60. As with most SUV coupes, expect a price premium over the standard model.
