2023 Honda Pilot LX Price Starts From $37,295

Honda is introducing the base LX trim (the Elite level pictured above) to the Honda Pilot lineup for 2023. 

For the front-wheel-drive model, it has a starting price of $37,295 after a $1,345 destination charge. Getting all-wheel drive brings that figure to $39,395. For comparison, the Sport level is the next step in the line and costs $40,495 or $42,595 for front drive or all-wheel drive, respectively. 

The LX shares the drivetrain with the rest of the 2023 Honda Pilot lineup. The 3.5-liter V6 produces 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels or two axles.

Buyers get less equipment than the Sport trim for the reduced price of the LX. It does not have LED fog lights and chrome exhaust tips. Inside, the model lacks a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and seat storage bags. Additionally, the driver's seat has six-way manual adjustment and the passenger seat has four-way manual adjustment. In the game, there is a power switch for the two front seats. 

The LX trim rolls on 18-inch silver wheels in what Honda calls the Blade design. Meanwhile, the Sport Edition gets a 20-inch size in Shark Gray color with black lug nuts. The LX trim does not have a Blind Spot Monitoring System or Traffic Monitor.

However, it still has many technologies that help other Honda drivers, including collision avoidance braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane assist, cruise control speed control, traffic sign control and traffic jam assistance. Honda recently brought back the LX trim on the Civic and CR-V to give them a new entry-level quality. In any case, consumers save money by passing on a good thing like the loss of a heated seat.

In February 2023, Honda sales increased by 5.9% in the first two months of 2022. The company has produced 14,221 units of the Honda Pilot so far this year, down 6.2% from the same period last year.
