Lamborghini has never been one to sit on the sidelines when it comes to motorsport. As the road-going Temerario ushers in a new era of hybrid performance, Lamborghini Squadra Corse has launched its first race-bred sibling: the Temerario GT3 a track-focused machine that strips away the hybrid system and doubles down on raw, analog racing capability.
Built to FIA GT3 regulations, the Temerario GT3 is not just a cosmetic evolution it’s a ground-up racing transformation.
To comply with GT3 rules, the hybrid system from the 800-hp road car has been completely removed. In its place, Lamborghini has tuned the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine to produce 550 horsepower optimized for reliability, response, and drivability on the track.
Key engine upgrades include:
- Redesigned airbox to accommodate smaller, more responsive turbochargers
- Titanium connecting rods for reduced weight and increased durability
- Revised ECU calibration to broaden the power band and deliver peak output across a wider RPM range
The result is a more linear, predictable power delivery essential for endurance racing.
Lamborghini re-engineered the aluminum spaceframe chassis to accommodate the removal of hybrid components and integrate a new six-speed transverse sequential gearbox. The revised layout improves weight distribution and simplifies maintenance.

The body is now crafted from carbon composite materials, shaped to retain the Temerario bold design language while enhancing aerodynamics and cooling efficiency. Key features include:
- Front and rear clamshells as single-piece units for rigidity and quick replacement
- Floor divided into four sections for easier access and faster repairs
- Optimized airflow to brakes, radiators, and turbochargers
Every panel is designed with pit efficiency in mind mechanics can swap damaged parts quickly during endurance events.
- The Temerario GT3 comes packed with race-proven hardware:
- Fully integrated FIA-compliant roll cage for maximum safety
- Six-way adjustable KW dampers for fine-tuned suspension setup
- Hydraulic steering rack for precise feedback
- 18-inch Ronal AG racing wheels wrapped in high-performance slicks or rain tires
- Enhanced fuel delivery system for consistent performance during long stints
These upgrades ensure the car can handle the rigors of 12-hour endurance races where reliability is just as important as speed.

One of the GT3’s standout features is its focus on repairability. Unlike some race cars that require extensive disassembly after a crash, the Temerario GT3 is designed so that body panels, suspension components, and aerodynamic elements can be replaced quickly and efficiently minimizing downtime during a race.
This practical engineering philosophy reflects Lamborghini commitment to real-world racing performance, not just showy design.
