The Volkswagen Golf GTI is getting a refresh for the 2025 model year. US specifications for the next GTI aren't available yet, but Volkswagen has revealed a European version of the sedan, which shows what VW has in store for it. the American model. Here's what we know about the 2025 Volkswagen GTI.

The exterior design of the 2025 Volkswagen GTI will receive a slight update compared to the current sedan. The headlights will be redesigned, the front fascia will be slightly different and the rear lights will have new elements. We also expect VW to introduce new wheel designs and new exterior colors. For 2025, the GTI will also have a new black cabin.

Inside, buyers will be happy to see the body control returning to the 2025 Volkswagen GTI. The physical controls are placed below the large central screen mounted on the front of the dashboard. The rest of the interior of the GTI will not change much from the current model on sale. It is expected that the hatchback will have strong sports seats, stewed flat steering wheel, red accents and a strong steering wheel.

The global version of the 2025 Volkswagen GTI will be available with a 10.4 or 12.9 touch screen. We think that VW will offer the 2025 GTI in the US with a large 12.9-inch screen. A 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster should also be standard. One thing we are sure of is that the GTI's new infotainment system will feature ChatGPT for its IDA voice assistant.

For now, we know that the 2025 European Volkswagen GTI will feature an updated engine. The GTI will be powered by a 262-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. We don't know how powerful the American version of the GTI will be. Volkswagen has confirmed that the 2025 GTI will only be available with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The automaker has dropped the six-speed manual for the new model year. We don't know what kind of safety features the 2025 Volkswagen GTI will come with, but the current model comes with a lot of equipment.

Available safety features include driver assistance and traffic sign recognition. Information on the price of the Volkswagen GTI 2025 is not yet available. We expect the sedan to cost more than the current model's MSRP, which starts at $33,190.

Competitors in the segment include the Honda Civic Si, Hyundai Elantra N, Toyota GR Corolla, and Subaru WRX. Volkswagen has not announced when the 2025 Golf GTI will go on sale in the United States.
