2024 Porsche Cayenne will receive a mid-generation refresh, which is not surprising since the model has been in production since 2017. 

Along with cosmetic tweaks, Porsche flagship SUV will also see improvements to the powertrain, interior and exterior . Here's what we know so far.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne's base engine is a 3.0-liter V6 that develops 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. According to Car and Driver, updated engine management software for 2024 will bring those numbers to 349 and 369, respectively. The top-of-the-line Turbo GT is powered by a twin-turbo V8 that already makes a whopping 631 hp and gets 20 more ponies under the hood for 2024. The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid will also get a 10 hp boost from the bigger battery.

These are pretty big upgrades for the model year's refresh, but the most notable engine change is in the mid-range Porsche Cayenne S. The S is now powered by an Audi-sourced 2.9L turbocharged V6 developing 434 horsepower and 405 lb-ft. In a move that will surely please enthusiasts, Porsche is equipping the 2024 Porsche Cayenne S with a 469 hp V8. As mentioned earlier, changes to the Porsche Cayenne are not limited to under the hood. The curved 12.7-inch instrument display and 12.3-inch Taycan-inspired infotainment screen will all make their way into the Porsche Cayenne. 

The passenger will also get their own 10.9-inch screen, just like the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Air-cooled charging will also be available for 2024. Porsche is also working to improve the Porsche Cayenne's driving dynamics. Larger diameter tires and dampers will be standard across models. Porsche Cayennes with optional air suspension also get revised springs.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne will arrive this summer and Porsche is taking the reins. Pricing for the 2024 Porsche Cayenne now starts at $80,850, which is a significant increase from the 2023's starting price of $73,650. Not as expensive as the base Porsche Cayenne, they all get a big MSRP increase. The top dog in the Cayenne family is the powerful Turbo GT, which will set you back $197,950. The 2024 Porsche Cayenne will compete with the BMW X5, Genesis GV80 and Volvo XC90.
