For most luxury car brands, exclusivity means limited production runs. For Bugatti, it’s never been enough.
Even owning one of 500 Chirons or 250 Tourbillons isn’t rare enough for the automaker’s most elite clientele. So now, Bugatti is going further than ever before with Programme Solitaire a new one-of-one commissioning service that allows its wealthiest collectors to create a hypercar unlike any other in existence. This isn’t just customization. It’s automotive artistry at the highest level.

While Bugatti’s Sur Mesure program (launched in 2021) offers deep personalization of existing models, Programme Solitaire transcends it entirely. This initiative revives Bugatti’s historic coachbuilding legacy, enabling clients to co-create a bespoke masterpiece from the ground up with near-total creative freedom.
And the first result? The breathtaking Bugatti Brouillard.
The Brouillard French for "fog" is built upon Bugatti’s legendary W-16 platform, shared with the Chiron and Mistral. It features:
- A carbon fiber and aluminum chassis
- The iconic quad-turbocharged 8.0L W-16 engine
- 1,578 horsepower of earth-shaking performance
But where the Brouillard diverges is in its design soul.
Inspired by the open-top Mistral, the Brouillard reimagines the roadster’s spirit with a fixed roof a sleek, transparent glass panel that floods the cabin with light while maintaining structural elegance. A continuous center spine flows from nose to tail, visible from within the cabin, reinforcing the car’s sculptural harmony.
Exterior highlights include:
- Horizontal LED headlights for a modern, refined front end
- Darkened front bumper accents adding depth and drama
- Classic arrow-shaped LED taillights spanning the rear
- An illuminated "BUGATTI" wordmark centered above the tail
But the standout feature? A beautifully crafted fixed ducktail spoiler a subtle nod to vintage grand tourers, now redefined with contemporary precision.
Step inside, and the craftsmanship deepens:
- Custom-woven tartan fabric in a unique green-tinted weave
- Green-hued carbon fiber accents throughout
- Machined aluminum trim with hand-finished details
Every element tells a story especially the embroidered horse motifs on the door panels and seat backs, paying tribute to Ettore Bugatti’s beloved stallion, a symbol deeply woven into the brand’s DNA.
Even the aluminum gear selector features a glass-encased miniature horse sculpture a tiny masterpiece within a masterpiece.

Seats are molded to the owner’s exact preference, ensuring perfect ergonomics and comfort. This isn’t just a car built for a person it’s built around them.
Bugatti does not disclose pricing for Programme Solitaire commissions because price is no object.
That said, given the level of engineering, materials, and handcrafting involved, an estimate well north of $30 million USD seems plausible. And yet, for the buyer, it’s not about cost it’s about legacy.

Only two such one-of-one models will be created each year under Programme Solitaire, making each an instant collector icon.
The Bugatti Brouillard will make its public debut next week at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering in Carmel, California one of the world’s most prestigious automotive events. It may be the only time this singular creation is seen outside the owner’s private collection.
