It’s been almost a year since Audi updated its electric luxury sedan, the Audi E-Tron GT. While the automaker initially focused on the high-performance S and RS trims, it has now introduced a more affordable base model E-Tron GT to attract a broader range of buyers.

Despite its entry-level status, the new Audi E-Tron GT doesn’t skimp on style or performance. Visually, it’s nearly identical to its more powerful siblings, with only minor differences such as added black trim elements on the front fascia and the absence of S or RS badges at the rear.

Under the skin, the base E-Tron GT still features Audi’s signature Quattro all-wheel drive system, with one electric motor per axle. It delivers a combined 496 horsepower in standard driving, or up to 577 hp with launch control. This allows the electric sedan to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.0 seconds, making it one of the fastest EVs in its class.

Compared to the Audi E-Tron GT S, the base model is about 66.1 lbs (30 kg) lighter , though it still weighs around 5,200 lbs (including a 165-lb driver for testing purposes). While it sacrifices 0.6 seconds in acceleration and 93 horsepower compared to the S model, it gains nearly 12 miles (20 km) of extra range thanks to its more efficient motor tuning and lighter build.

The E-Tron GT base model comes equipped with a 97.0 kWh usable battery, delivering an impressive 386.5 miles (622 km) of range under the WLTP test cycle a major plus for long-distance driving.

It also supports ultra-fast 320-kW DC charging , allowing drivers to add 177 miles (285 km) of range in just 10 minutes under ideal conditions. A 10–80% charge can be completed in only 18 minutes with access to a compatible high-speed charger.

In Germany, the base Audi E-Tron GT starts at €108,900 , which is €17,100 less than the S model. However, it still faces stiff competition from the Porsche Taycan, which offers a more affordable entry point. The Taycan 4 starts at €107,300 , while the rear-wheel-drive Taycan begins at just €102,600 .

While U.S. pricing hasn’t been officially announced yet, the E-Tron GT S starts at $126,795, suggesting the base model will likely remain in the six-figure range . For comparison, the 2026 Porsche Taycan 4 starts at $106,450 , and the rear-wheel-drive model begins at $102,550.
