The 2025 Audi A3 is set to undergo a cosmetic refresh of its design, which first appeared in 2022. New photos from the automaker reveal that the A3 will feature a wider grille and a revised front bumper, giving the front a lower appearance. The front lighting has been reshaped to include customizable daytime running lights. At the rear, the A3 boasts redesigned taillights and a new black insert across the bumper. Inside, a smaller shifter frees up space in the center console, and the air vents now have a more angular shape.

The high-performance S3 variant will receive mechanical upgrades, but the A3 is expected to retain its current powertrain and features. This compact sedan, which seats five, comes with ample standard equipment, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen with downloadable apps, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, and leather upholstery.

Each A3 is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. This engine includes a 48-volt mild hybrid assist to boost performance and efficiency. You can opt for all-wheel drive instead of the standard front-drive setup. All versions come with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, complete with paddle shifters.

Front-wheel drive models achieve an EPA rating of 29 miles per gallon in the city, 37 mpg on the highway, and 32 mpg combined. With all-wheel drive, the estimates are slightly lower at 27 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined.

The standard driver-assistance technology includes automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, and lane departure warning. Optional features on the base Premium trim include blind-spot monitoring and parking sensors. These features come standard on the Premium Plus, which also includes adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. Traffic sign recognition is exclusive to the Premium Plus.

We anticipate the 2025 A3 to be priced slightly higher than the current model, which starts at $36,895 including destination, or $38,895 with AWD. The A3 is expected to remain the most affordable vehicle in the Audi lineup. The A3 will compete with other entry-level luxury sedans such as the Acura Integra, Cadillac CT4, INFINITI Q50, and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class.
