Now, the Blue Oval has unveiled the Mustang GTD Liquid Carbon a radical evolution that strips away the paint to reveal a completely exposed carbon-fiber body. This isn't just a cosmetic tweak; it’s a statement of purity, precision, and performance obsession.

And yes it’s even lighter than the already-exclusive GTD Carbon Series.

The most striking feature of the Liquid Carbon? There is no paint.

Instead, Ford showcases the raw beauty of its hand-laid carbon fiber, finished in a high-gloss clear coat that highlights the impeccable weave pattern across every panel. The result is a seamless, flowing design where the carbon fiber lines match perfectly along the hood, roof, rear wing, and ducktail, creating a continuous visual spine down the center of the car.

By eliminating the paint layer, Ford shaved 13 pounds off the already lightweight GTD Carbon Series a meaningful gain in the world of high-performance engineering.

Even greater weight savings come from replacing metal door skins with bonded carbon fiber, proving that Ford left no stone unturned in the pursuit of minimal mass.

Every Liquid Carbon model comes standard with the GTD Performance Package, which includes:

  • 20-inch forged magnesium wheels among the lightest available
  • Black Brembo brakes with anodized GTD script for a stealthy, race-bred look
  • Enhanced aerodynamic components for maximum downforce
  • Reduced sound deadening to cut weight and sharpen driver focus

This isn’t a luxury grand tourer it’s a no-compromise supercar built for circuit dominance.

Under the hood, the Liquid Carbon retains the heart of the GTD: a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine producing 815 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque making it one of the most powerful front-engine, manual-transmission cars on the planet.
