When released this summer, the 2024 Acura Integra Type S will produce 320 horsepower. We'll get a full look at the model next month when Acura officially unveils it ahead of the 48th annual Acura Grand Prix in Long Beach, California. 

The 2024 Acura Integra Type S model will get its power from a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that also produces 310 pound-feet of torque. The only gearbox available is a short-range six-speed manual transmission. Acura says the Model S will have "class-leading capabilities."

The S model produces more power than the standard Integra, with 200bhp on tap from a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder. It does more than the Honda Civic R model, which uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder to produce 310 hp that can power the Acura. We drove the Integra S model late last year, learning that the sedan will borrow the R's front and rear suspension and other parts.

The teaser video (above) released along with the new information shows the car having three stations, similar to the R-style layout. However, not high-powered Honda, and Acura's visual enhancements are more subtle in the Type S. Camouflaged model featured a larger rear spoiler, reshaped front bumper, and reworked rear diffuser. Inside, the car is expected to get S-spec touches.

We don't know how much the 2024 Acura Integra Type S will cost when it goes on sale this summer. The most expensive non-Type S 2023 Integra can fetch more than $46,000. The Honda Civic R model, which lends itself well to the 2024 Acura Integra Type S, starts under $44,000. The most popular Integra can start at around $45,000, but we may not know the official starting price until shortly before it goes on sale.

The 2024 Acura Integra Type S model will be the third performance model in the Acura lineup. The company has already offered the MDX model and the TLX Model S. We will have more details about the new car before April 16, so we can finally see the car in full. The 2024 Integra S model will go on sale this summer.
