Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) doesn’t make many cars and that’s the point. With only 100 units each of the legendary T.50 and T.33 ever built, these hyper-exclusive supercars are already among the rarest in the world. But for an even more select group of collectors, GMA has gone further.
Introducing the Le Mans GTR a new, track-focused V-12 masterpiece from the mind of Professor Gordon Murray, limited to just 24 units, one for each hour of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It’s not just a tribute. It’s a homage to history, engineering purity, and the golden era of endurance racing.
The name Le Mans GTR is no coincidence. This car pays direct homage to the 1995 Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR a car designed by Gordon Murray himself. That victory, achieved against faster prototypes by sheer reliability and brilliance, remains one of motorsport’s greatest upsets.
Now, three decades later, Murray returns to that legacy not with nostalgia, but with evolution.

While the Le Mans GTR shares its 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine and 6-speed manual gearbox with the T.50, GMA says “almost everything else” has been re-engineered. This isn’t a rebodied T.50 it’s a new kind of beast.
Inspired by the longtail racers of the 1970s, '80s, and '90s including icons like the Porsche 917, Matra-Simca MS660, and Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/3 the Le Mans GTR features a radically extended body designed for low drag and high downforce.
Key aerodynamic elements include:
- A full-length front splitter
- Aggressive side skirts
- A massive full-width rear wing
- A huge dual-channel diffuser at the rear
Together, these components generate real ground-effect aerodynamics, eliminating the need for the rear-mounted fan found on the T.50 a testament to how much more efficient the airflow management has become.
Despite its race-bred focus, the Le Mans GTR hasn’t sacrificed usability. GMA has revised:
- Dashboard layout for improved ergonomics
- Switchgear for tactile precision
- Seat cushioning for long-distance comfort
- Pedal pads for optimal foot placement
Even the engine mounting system is new GMA claims a breakthrough in solidly bolting the V-12 directly to the chassis without transmitting excessive noise or vibration a feat never before achieved at this level, though technical details remain under wraps.

The 4.0L V-12 revving to a stratospheric 12,100 rpm is tuned for both performance and emotion. A dual-exit exhaust system delivers a deep, balanced, and spine-tingling soundtrack, while a roof-mounted ram-air intake feeds the engine with cool, high-pressure air directly above the cabin.
It’s not just power it’s theater.
Cooling has also been upgraded:
- Larger front vents
- Side-mounted intakes for drivetrain cooling
- Wider track with Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires on lightweight wheels
- Stiffer, lighter suspension for razor-sharp handling
All 24 units of the Le Mans GTR have already been allocated to hand-picked clients no surprise, given the car’s lineage and scarcity.

While pricing remains unconfirmed, the standard T.50 started at $3.5 million USD and the Le Mans GTR, with its bespoke development and historic significance, will undoubtedly command a significant premium.
Production is set to begin in 2026, with each car built entirely by hand in GMA’s UK facility.
