2026 Ford F-150 Lobo: The Street-Smart Styling Package That’s All About Attitude |
Following the success of the Maverick Lobo, Ford is taking its street-truck formula to the big leagues with the 2025 F-150 Lobo. The name Lobo Spanish for “wolf” isn’t new to Ford. It first appeared on a 1981 Bronco concept, then returned in 1997 on a Mexican-market F-150. Now, for the first time, the Lobo badge is coming to the U.S., bringing bold styling and urban flair to America’s best-selling truck.
But don’t expect a new performance trim. The F-150 Lobo isn’t a standalone model it’s an appearance package available exclusively on the STX trim in SuperCrew cab configuration, powered by the familiar 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8.

That means 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque solid numbers, but not class-leading. If you’re after more power, you’ll need to look to the 450-hp 3.5L EcoBoost V6 or the 720-hp supercharged V8 in the Raptor R.
Think of the Lobo as the spiritual successor to the SVT Lightning not in performance, but in attitude. It’s a cosmetic upgrade designed to give the F-150 a more aggressive, street-savvy presence.
Key visual upgrades include:
- A 10-piece ground effects kit with aggressive front and rear fascias
- A cowl-style hood for added muscle
- A distinctive blacked-out grille
- A dual-layer LED light bar integrated into the front bumper
- Updated LED taillights with a modern signature
- Exclusive Lobo badging for subtle brand recognition
The truck rides on exclusive 22-inch gloss black alloy wheels and features a two-inch rear suspension drop for a lower, more planted stance. Dual exhaust tips not available on the smaller Maverick Lobo add to the rugged aesthetic.

And while black is the default vibe, Ford offers the Lobo in five colors: Atlas Blue, Rapid Red, Carbonized Gray, Oxford White, and, of course, Shadow Black.
Despite its street-truck persona, the F-150 Lobo remains functional. It comes standard with 4WD and an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case, offering selectable drive modes: 2H, 4A, 4H, and 4L.
It can tow up to 7,900 pounds and carry a payload of 1,450 pounds respectable numbers, though not maxed out like higher-end trims.
The 2025 F-150 Lobo starts at $59,995, including destination and handling fees $4,695 more than a base STX. That premium buys a lot of visual flair, but no mechanical upgrades.

Still, for buyers who want a bold, head-turning F-150 without stepping into Raptor or Platinum territory, the Lobo fills a unique niche.
While the current fourteenth-generation F-150 is already around five years old, Ford shows no signs of retiring it just yet. The Lobo may be one of the final fresh takes on this generation but it certainly won’t be the last.
With the F-150 Lightning EV leading the charge into the future, the Lobo keeps the gas-powered legacy alive with a little extra bite.
