Introducing the most powerful Maserati for the road: the GT2 Stradale. But don't mistake it for an MC20. This is the street-legal version of the GT2 race car, which itself is a track-ready version of the MC20. Confused? Us too. But no matter this car is a showstopper.

The MC20's sleek design is already a standout, but the GT2 Stradale cranks up the aggression. Most of what you see comes straight from the GT2 racer larger air intakes, hood and fender vents, and a massive GT2 wing slapped on the rear. It’s not a full race-car replica, though; the front and rear ends are toned down a bit. And don’t forget the carbon fiber accents plenty of them, from the wing to the hood flaps. Want more? You can go all-in with a carbon-fiber roof, side skirts, and fender intakes, too.

Inside, it’s a balance of race-car minimalism and street-worthy comfort. Carbon fiber is abundant, offset by Alcantara and matte finishes that reduce glare. The steering wheel is chunkier compared to the MC20, but it’s streamlined with fewer controls. Everything is positioned for driver convenience, including a 10.25-inch central display. You get a standard six-speaker stereo, or you can upgrade to a 12-speaker system if you're an audiophile.

The seats are custom-built for the GT2 Stradale, featuring double-shell carbon fiber with foam padding. Maserati offers two sizes for different body types, and the seats are manually adjustable for an optimal low position that enhances weight distribution. If you're taking it to the track, there's an option for a rear bar to fit four-point racing harnesses. But for those who prefer something less extreme, there are sportier seats on offer.

The GT2 Stradale packs Maserati's most potent road-legal punch yet. Its 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V-6 delivers a hefty 631 horsepower at 7,500 rpm, and torque hits 531 pound-feet starting at 3,000 rpm. Thanks to some fine-tuning and exhaust tweaks, it's a bit more powerful than its predecessors.

The power goes to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and the car sheds 132 pounds, making it faster and more agile. Maserati claims it can rocket from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 201 mph.

But this car’s real forte might be its handling. With suspension shared with the GT2 race car and up to 1,100 pounds of downforce, it’s designed for precision through the corners. Drive modes include a Corsa setting for track performance, with sub-modes to gradually reduce electronic aids. Choose the Performance Pack, and you unlock Corsa Evo mode, offering more in-depth tuning for a "360-degree professional driver experience," as Maserati calls it.

The GT2 Stradale had its global reveal at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. Maserati has yet to announce pricing or availability, but let’s just say if you’re asking, it might be out of reach. The car shared the stage in California with the MC20 Icona and MCXtrema, the latter making its debut at last year’s Quail event.
