After more than 20 years of production and over 100,000 twelve-cylinder vehicles built, Bentley is saying goodbye to one of the most iconic engines in luxury motoring: the W-12. But it’s not fading away quietly.

To mark the end of an era, Bentley has unveiled the Batur Convertible by Mulliner a breathtaking, one-of-one masterpiece that celebrates the W-12 in its most powerful and personal form yet.

Revealed during Monterey Car Week 2025 in California, this exclusive creation blends extreme performance, bespoke craftsmanship, and deep personalization, making it not just a car but a rolling work of art.

At its heart beats Bentley’s legendary 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W-12 engine, tuned to deliver a thunderous 740 horsepower matching the output of the standard Batur coupe and convertible. In this case, however, those 740 horses power a completely unique open-top grand tourer, designed in close collaboration with one of Bentley’s most discerning clients.

This isn’t just another special edition it’s a true one-off, crafted entirely by Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke division, to reflect the owner’s personal taste and style.

The exterior dazzles in Opalite paint, a shimmering, light-reflective finish that shifts in tone depending on the sunlight. Accenting the sleek bodywork are Beluga black and Mandarin orange highlights, including:

  • A bold central racing stripe
  • Two thinner accent lines flanking each side

The result is a look that’s both elegant and aggressive a perfect balance of British sophistication and track-inspired flair.

Inside, the theme continues with a “one plus one” design concept, where driver and passenger experience individualized luxury:

  • Driver’s side: Wrapped in Beluga black leather and Alcantara
  • Passenger side: Finished in Linen white leather and Alcantara

This dual-tone approach extends beyond the seats even the steering wheel, door panels, and center console follow the split-color scheme, creating a cabin that feels both cohesive and uniquely personalized.

No detail was overlooked. The rear luggage compartment houses a custom two-piece luggage set, also designed exclusively for this vehicle. Each piece mirrors the interior’s duality:

  • One bag in Beluga black and Mandarin orange
  • One in Linen white and Mandarin accents

Like the car itself, the luggage is a seamless extension of the owner’s identity functional, luxurious, and utterly unique.

While Bentley hasn’t revealed pricing calling it a "true one-off" this Batur Convertible stands as one of the last Bentleys ever to feature the W-12 engine. As the brand accelerates toward an electric future, models like this serve as emotional milestones, honoring decades of engineering excellence and handcrafted luxury.

Though the W-12 is retiring, its legacy lives on and few send-offs could be more spectacular than this.
